The Path
The Friends were successful in their application for a grant to upgrade the path across the park. The contract for the work has been given to Pugh Lewis and will include drainage work and relaying the existing path making it 2.4m wide. The path will also be extended across to the Brampton Manor entrance.

Litter Bin
The litter bin near the Brampton Manor entrance has been a problem for several months now. It keeps being pushed over and despite appeals to the council they just stand it up and stamp the soil down. Members of the Friends decided to move the bin and dig a bigger hole and fill it with concrete.
Upgrading the Footpath
Good news! The Friends application for grant funding to upgrade the footpath was successful. This should see a 2.5m wide path replacing the original plus an extension on the 'desire' line across to Brampton Manor.

Wassail
Our third Wassail finished just before the rain arrived! Around 70 people joined in and had mulled cider and apple juice. Afterwards we sang to the trees and fired 'party poppers' instead of the traditional shot gun!
